Today we had a visit from Harold the Giraffe and the Life Education Van. We learnt about the different parts of the body and the important roles they play. We talked about the lungs, heart, liver, intestine, brain and nerves.
We were able to explore what healthy things can give us energy such as; sleep, healthy food and water. We went on to discuss things which are helpful to us and things which are harmful. See if you can remember these. Finally, Harold had some friendship issue and we were able to explain that he needed to say sorry and work with his friend.

I enjoyed seeing the hot tub because it was interesting to see the original bath. – Emma-Leigh This week, we have started to look at when the Romans invaded. We have talked about the fact it was a very long time ago using the terms BCE and CE. Can you remember what these mean?
We also found where the Romans came from. Can you find Italy and the United Kingdom on the map? We have had great fun launching our theme today. This morning we looked at some Roman artefacts and tried to decide what they were used for. This afternoon we have been learning Latin. The Romans used to speak in Latin. Can you remember what elephantus or Nass means? We wrote on foil as sometimes the Romans would write things, such as curses, on pewter.
