We have had lots of fun in RE this week. We have looked at the Creation Story and explored why we think the world is wonderful. We then made some links to our own lives and how we could look after the world. We have also looked at the story of Noah's Ark. We explored the words "promise" and "covenant". We thought about promises we have made and how it feels if someone breaks a promise. Finally, we made some music to reflect our feelings about promises...what a busy week! We hope that you all have a restful and happy Christmas!

We’ve been learning about the Romans. To finish our theme we have had a Roman Day.
In the morning, we read the story “Vesuvius Poovius”. We listened carefully and told Mrs Dorehill which bit we thought were Fiction and which we thought were Non-Fiction. After assembly, we dissected some Roman poo (don’t worry, it was fake!). We did this to find out what the Romans ate. In the poo we looked at there was: orange peel, olive stones, rocks, pumpkin seeds, bread and almonds. Finally, after break, we tried some Roman food. Some of us tried food that we hadn’t tried before, such as, snails and dormice. We have had lots of fun! In PHSE, we have created an amazing list of activities that you can do to keep you active. Are there any more unusual activities you can think of?
