Here we are practising our Christmas tableau for the Carol concert at Tewkesbury Abbey. The children did an absolutely fantastic job representing the Christmas story and singing beautifully. Well done to the Magpies and all of KS2!
We've also had our Rowdy Roman landing this week to finish off our theme. Have a look below to see all of the different activities we were up to!

We've had a very busy week in Magpies, including a very enjoyable trip to the Pantomime at the Roses in Tewkesbury and a carol concert rehearsal at Tewkesbury Abbey. The children are perfecting the carols and working hard on their Christmas nativity tableau that they will show during the concert. We look forward to seeing you there on Wednesday 14th December 6:00pm at Tewkesbury Abbey!
In English, the children wrote their instructions for How to be a Roman soldier. It was fantastic to see them combine what they have learnt in theme lessons about the rowdy Romans and their new skills from English lessons to be able to use the grammatical and linguistical features of instructions in their writing. It's been all about measuring in Maths for Magpies this week! The children are becoming more confident converting cm to m and km to m. We even measured the playground, field and football pitch. Next week, we'll be working out the perimeter of the football pitch (and other simple 2D shapes!) |
